WAR-No One Talks About This-UNTIL NOW!
Updated: Oct 24
In this video, veteran/award-winning author John J. McBrearty introduces his next series of books, Memoirs From Operation Iraqi Freedom. Written in real time during a nearly two-year deployment, this military memoir series is drawn from a combat journal kept inside the war zone.
The first of the five book series is FROM HOME TO HELL. It is an authentic combat journal revealing how citizen soldiers adapt, lead, and survive modern warfare. This book documents the transformation of ordinary Americans into combat-ready soldiers—and how creativity became a tool for survival.
This memoir blends leadership, history, and lived experience, offering rare insight into mobilization and deployment in modern war.
“War reveals a man’s character faster than peaceful times ever could.”
—John J. McBrearty, Lieutenant Colonel, U.S. Army (Retired), CPT/LCpl USMC (Emeritus)
